Rode the Iron Horse Trail to Norris and then Las Trampas to the turnaround. There's a new road back over the hill with a bike lane to Dublin Blvd so one dosen't have to go on busy Crow Canyon. We are having record breaking heat for this time of year.

tired today so just a spin over to livermore for coffee.....85F today......

Warm sunny winter day. Headed for a heat wave this coming week with record temps in the 90's. WTF!

Another warm day, really early for this weather. Climate change? The forecast is for more of the same, things are drying out.....

Warm sunny day, first sunburn of year, forgot sun sleeves. Rode out Holdener Park, Cross Road, Patterson Pass to summit, South and North Flynn Roads, Dyer Rd and Old Altamont and back home the usual way. Pretty tired so slow on the climbs reduced average speed. 2,663 ft climbing.

Went out late to catch the Thursday Grinder ride and almost made it to the top. Made halfway from Cross Rd. Anyways, very windy (NNW) today with strong gusts made for a interesting descent. Clear skies and a cool 62F.

Tuesday Pedalers ride. Another nice day with slight breezes. Flat and fast for a Tuesday ride.

Started out the ride with The Recycle Pros Saturday ride. They turned around at the summit of Palomares. I continued solo to Calaveras Rd and looped back around to P-town. Nice day. Had lunch of street tacos in Milpitas at a new place. Couldn't believe the cost of 2 tacos, a large coke and bottled water, $20 w/tax and tip.....times have changed from back in 1990 when street tacos were 50 cents each......

Out and Back to mile marker 5 on Mines Rd. Had coffee at Story on the way back home.

Warm (65F) with wind out of the NE turning SW in the late afternoon. Holdener-Tesla Rd-Story Coffee and back home through Sycamore Grove. A bit tired from yesterday but need to get out as rain is forecast for tomorrow.

Sun is back out and a very pleasant day with temps to mid-60's and a light breeze out of the Southeast. Looks like one more day of this, then rain returns on Tuesday.

Finally have a dry day, however coldest day of the year so far with 40F at a late start (10am). Luckily the sun came out so wasn't bad by the end of ride at 51F. No wind.

Rode to the Junction and back. Was going to do the walnut creek loop but got a flat after stopping at the junction. Took a long time to find the source of the puncture which turned out to be a small bit of radial tire wire. Had to use my teeth to get it out. So had to shorten the ride. Took the old way to the mountain via Dougherty and Mt Diablo Blvd but came back thru Diablo, Danville and the Iron Horse Trail.

Did an out-an-back on the Iron Horse Trial to Danville. Unfortunately, Contra Costa schools didn't have the day off so lots of kids around 2:30-3:00. Wouldn't be so bad if half of them weren't on E-bikes and scooters going super fast and all over the trail. Took a break until things cleared up. Nice day, overcast but low 60's. Need rain.

Out and Back to Las Trampas Park. Sunny warm day and a south wind on the way home.

Most flat spin for coffee today.

Rode to Pleasanton BART then took train to the San Francisco Ferry Building with 3 other Pleasanton Pedalers. So awesome to ride with 1,000+ bike riders joined together in remembrance of a fellow like minded cyclist who gave his life for a noble cause. So many considerate motorists, residents and tourists showed support by honking horns, high fiveing and waving signs. SF at it's best. May the murder of Alex Pretti not be in vain, and hopefully be a turning point.....

Rode a new loop to Livermore. Ruby Hill-Kalthoff-Sycamore Grove-Holdener Park and then into town for the usual at Story Coffee.

Wasn't going to ride today by it got really warm (mid-60's) so first time wearing summer kit in 2026!

Out and back to Danville Peet's on the Iron Trail. Stopped at Sports Basement to buy some new gloves. Another sunny day, needing some rain.

Short ride out to Livermore to stretch my legs and have coffee.

Sun was out and temps in the low 60's . Nice ride out Tesla to the Pass, then back thru Livermore with a stop at Story Coffee.

Thursday Grid with P-town peddlers. Very foggy at the start, 39F but once in Livermore the sun came out and by the end of ride it was near 60F. Ride was faster today.

Did an out-an-back to Concord on the Iron Horse Trail. Flat ride, light breezes and high of 60F. Looks like good riding weather for the next week or so.

Saturday Recycle Pros ride was supposed to do Las Trampas, however Bob had 3 flats in a row to delay the ride in San Ramon so instead we did Dublin Blvd.

Felt low energy heading out and had to stop for food and coffee. Felt better after that and tackled Patterson Pass - Cross Rd - Reuss - Holdender and Sycamore Grove. Light NE winds. Headwind at the start and tailwind going home. When home found out that I had forgot to take my thyroid meds, thus the low energy.

Finally some good weather for first ride of 2026. Climbed both Mines (to the 8.5 mile marker) and Collier to top. Coffee at Story.
